Dayahang Rai and Rekha Thapa’s ‘Neerphool’ on Jestha 19

The film ‘Neerfool’, directed by Phoolman Bal, which was produced about four years ago, has been announced on the 19th of Jestha. Earlier, the screening date was announced on Chaitra 7, 2076, but the screening of the film was postponed indefinitely after the government decided to close the hall due to the Corona epidemic. The film is based on the story of an earthquake. 

The film features Dayahang Rai, Shanti Waiba, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Rajan Khatiwada, Saroj Aryal, Sarita Giri, Jimme Chyoiki Ghising and others, while Myanmar’s former ambassador U Liun Oo and actress Rekha Thapa are in special roles. Through a family of Dhading Ruby Valley, the human struggle and common psychology during the earthquake is presented in the film.

Produced by Cello Productions in collaboration with Friends of Nepal-Myanmar Friendship Council, ‘Neerphool’ has cinematography by Pramod Karki, music by Arjun Pokharel and Chandrakumar Dong, editing by Nimesh Shrestha. Based on Dayahang’s character’s struggle to find his wife and daughter lost in the earthquake, this film will be distributed by Govind Shahi and Manoj Rathi.
