Famous Indian artist Satish Kaushik has passed away. His death was confirmed by his friend and artist Anupam Kher. He wrote, ‘I know that death is the ultimate truth of this world. However, I never thought that I would write about my Jigri friend while I was alive. A sudden end to a 45-year friendship. Life will never be the same without you.’

Born on 13th April 1967 in Mahendragarh, Haryana, Satish’s film journey has been up and down. Having studied at National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India, he had to struggle a lot for his career. His struggle in films started from 1980. He got recognition from the movie ‘Mr India’ in 1987.

He was more interested in directing than acting. In 1983, he worked as Shekhar Kapur’s assistant director in the film ‘Masoom’. He has also directed many memorable and famous films. He made his directorial debut with Roop Ki Rani, Choron Ka Raja. It was the most expensive film in Bollywood at that time, which was produced by Boney Kapoor.

Satish has directed successful films like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Kaagaz’, ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rahte Hain’, ‘Karz’, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’. He was soon preparing to direct ‘Kaagaz 2’. As much as he was capable in directing, he was equally adept in acting. He has acted in more than hundred films like ‘Deewana Mastana’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Swarg’.

Satish, who makes the audience laugh with his comedy timing on screen, was full of sorrow in his personal life. The death of his son Shanu at the age of two left him deranged for a long time. Later a daughter (Vanshika) was born in his house. In an interview, Satish shared the joy of his daughter’s birth and said, ‘The birth of our daughter is the end of our long and painful wait.’

Satish’s health condition was fine. Only two days ago, he played Holi with his friends. He participated in Javed Akhtar’s Holi party in Juhu and also shared a picture painted in Holi colors on his Twitter. Bollywood itself has been shocked by his death. He has made a big impact on the Bollywood film industry with his acting and direction.
