A documentary on Gandaki province to promote Nepal as a filming destination has been released

In order to promote Nepal as a filming destination, a documentary on Gandaki province has been released on YouTube. The documentary of 9 minutes and 52 seconds duration covers various beautiful places under Gandaki province, which can attract the attention of the world. The cinematography aspect of the documentary directed by Suyog Gurung is excellent. The documentary is ready in English audio language.

Film Development Board released this documentary in the first phase of creating audio-visual material to promote Nepal as an open studio for film shooting. With the increasing use of technology, the board has started the process of making a documentary to promote Nepal as a filming destination, realizing the need to promote it through audio-visual content. 

Board Chairman Bhuvan KC said that the documentary will be made including the possible filming areas of other 6 provinces. He said, ‘The board will continuously make such materials and deliver them to the world. In accordance with the aim of promoting Nepal as an open studio globally, we have released a documentary covering some of the major filming locations of Gandaki province.’

Chiranjeevi Guragai, information officer of the board, informed that the filming of the films of the world’s biggest industries is taking place in Nepal. With the aim of promoting Nepal as a filming location, the board has also published the book ‘Filming in Nepal: Volume 1’.
