Sandeep addresses the Supreme Court against the Supreme Court order

KATHMANDU, February 20: Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will go to the High Court against the order of the Patan High Court. Lawyer Saroj Krishna Ghimire told Ratopati that Lamichhane is preparing to file a petition with the High Court for a review of the foreign travel ban and the bail amount imposed by the High Court.

“We’ll probably go to the Supreme Court tomorrow,” Ghimire said. Due to the court-imposed ban, Lamichhane is likely to be barred from the upcoming series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Similarly, the court ordered Lamichhane to post a bail of Rs 2 crore.

Sandeep, who was arrested on charges of raping a minor, was released on bail by the High Court on January 11.
