Chaudhary, a lawmaker from the Nagarik Unmukti Party, released from jail

KATHMANDU, February 19 – Arun Chaudhary, a lawmaker from the Nagarik Unmukti Party, was released from jail on Sunday.
Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari announced the release of 395 inmates, including Chaudhary, on the occasion of Democracy Day.
Chaudhary, who was elected to the Kailali House of Representatives, was arrested on charges of setting a tractor on fire.
Later, the Kailaki District Court issued a verdict to send Chaudhary along with three others to jail for six months and fined them 818,423 each.
