Nepali Army Skills Display On Army Day (With Pictures)

KATHMANDU, February 18 – The Nepal Army, the main security body of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, celebrated its 260th Army Day on Saturday with various programs across the country.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari participated as the main guest in a special ceremony to be held at the Sainik Manch Tundikhel on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and Army Day. She is the supreme commander of the army, which is the center of faith and trust of the citizens. As the main guest, she offered floral tributes at the soldier’s memorial there.

Army Day banners were displayed and national flag flowers were rained down from a helicopter. On the occasion of Army Day, various cultural and military art programs were held, including a parade (military exercise) and gun shooting, Qawaz in Sainik Manch. The band’s performances were performed by the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army and the British Army team.

Various programs were organized on the occasion of this day in Pritana, Bahini, Gana, Gulm and other agencies stationed in different parts of the country under the Jangi Adda. Army Chief of Staff Prabhuram Sharma is currently the organizational head of the Nepal Army.
