Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah met with Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Baluwatar on Monday morning.
Prime Minister Dahal and Mayor Shah held a discussion on federal-local government cooperation in Kathmandu, according to Prime Minister Dahal’s secretariat.
Shah has been asking the federal government for support in his initiatives. He had even written to the Home Office some time ago demanding help to evacuate the illegal settlements.
Kathmandu residents have been criticizing Shah’s actions of late as protests have been held accusing Shah of destroying private property.
