President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that in order to achieve the expected success in the development of entrepreneurship and job creation, there is a need for banking and financial institutions to formulate and implement practical plans in coordination with the government.
He said this while addressing the third annual general meeting of Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions of Nepal held at the President’s Office on Sunday. She emphasized that although the objectives of the government in the field of capital formation and mobilization are appropriate, more work needs to be done to achieve the expected success in the development of entrepreneurship and job creation.
President Bhandari asserted that it is better for the Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions to conduct studies and research by universities, academic personalities and experts on the burning issues of the economic sector and motivate the relevant bodies for private reforms.
She also said that cooperation is necessary to produce the skilled human resources needed in the economic sector in the country and put them at the service of the country. She also said that the country expects great moral and physical work of the Confederation to motivate the young generation for innovation and entrepreneurship.
She said that if domestic production can be increased and entrepreneurship can be promoted, the consumption system based on import can be improved in the revenue system based on it.
President Bhandari stated that she is confident that the Confederation will contribute more as a supplement to the state in the fields of education and health in order to help in the development of strong human resources needed in the country for economic prosperity.
She said, ‘Though our objectives in the field of capital formation and management are appropriate, there is a need to do more work to achieve the expected success in the development of entrepreneurship and job creation. For that, there is a need for banking and financial institutions to make practical plans and implement them in coordination with the Government of Nepal. It is commendable that the Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions should conduct a study and research by universities, academic personalities and experts on the hot topics of the economic sector and motivate the relevant bodies for private reforms. Cooperation is necessary in order to produce the skilled human resources required in the economic sector in the country and put them at the service of the country. The country expects your great moral and material work to motivate the young generation for innovation and entrepreneurship.
